Ladies and gentlement !

I have a neighbor. His name is Jafar and, I call him Mr. Jafar. Mr. Jafar is a household. But, Mr. Jafar's familiy are not rich, they are poor family. Mr. Jafar’s job is farmer so; he just has revenue if his farm is successfull. One day his son got appendicitis and Mr. Jafar must bring his son to go hospital because his son must get surgery. But, in that time Mr. Jafar didn’t have money even one hundred thousand. And finally Mr. Jafar brought his son to the hospital with JAMKESMAS. But what happened? The doctor said that they can't do surgery for Mr. Jafar's son because if he wanted to do surgery he must pay minimum guarantee and it was not sufficient if he only used JAMKESMAS. When Mr.Jafar's son was in the hospital he also got different service from the common people. And unfortunately Mr.Jafar son was passed away. Ladies and gentlement I think it occurrs because in this country, the system of health is not good enough and still needs more good system.

     And I strongly believe that

with the UHC system for health of Indonesian society will be better. Now, I will explain:

-           The first is  about unlimited access to health care

-           The scond is about affordable health care.          

-           The last is about the advantages of use UHC for Indonesian society.

    To the point, what is universal health coverage? UHC is the program of WHO that will be used throughout the world.  The health system which every citizen within the population has access to health services the fair promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative with an affordable cost.  As we know promotiveness is the maintenance of health, preventiveness is profilaksis, curativeness is the healing of diseases, rehabilitation is health recovery. And This program will be conducted thoroughly, without distinction of social status or unlimted access.

      First, unlimited access it means that we can get health services everytime and everywhere, wherever and whenever. And i think the incident that I read from   Rosalinda wordpress that said ” there is patient that has heart disease and with JAMKESMAS refferer to hospital  but, the hospital refuse because he has no money guarantees. The other incident I get from SUARAMERDEKA that said there was a child. His name was Nurcahya, she had  hidrosepalus deseases but, she was  driven out from the hospital because  she had not JAMKESMAS. Nurcahya father’s said that they still waited JAMKESMAS from the goverment but, they didn't receive it. Ladies and gentlements i think from both of story will not happen. Because,with UHC system is easy for us to check up to the hospital. It is not like the system before that, if we want to check up to hospital with JAMKESMAS ( or especialy for unrich people) we must get excuse letter from our neighborhood and then We must also get excuse letter from our clinics. And the proccess of it also quiet long. It is really not good. But, UHC system is diffrent, because we don’t need to complete the procedure like the system before.  

    Then the second is, affordale health care. It means that everyone can get good treatment. UHC system does not see  who you are, you are rich or poor people. So that, with UHC system, we can Deprive of social diferencess.The system of UHC is also quiet easy for us because with UHC we just pay premium like we pay tribute and it  also depends on our revenue. And  in my opinion, it is not dificult for us  even you do not have money you can also get good treatment. For example we are in the hospital, we also get same service with the common people . So we do not worry if we want to check up to hospital whenever and wherever as UHC already take care of it.

       The last is, we can know that UHC has advantages like:

-          Increasing quality of health services for poor people

-          Flattening health services between poor and rich

-          making easy for the public to get health services

And in conclusion, UHC is good system for us. So, we as a society must support the program. Finally, this program can make to public health in indonesia to be better. If public health in Indonesia increases the human resource also increases and the country will be more forward.

      Like a proverbial that said mens sana in corpore sano and in Indonesia it is mean “ didalam tubuh yang sehat terdapat jiwa yang sehat” !
